The True Biblical Interpretation of the Number 666 -

The real interpretation of this over 1,900-year-old riddle will shake the very foundation of your doctrinal beliefs and then hopefully set you free. For G-d hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of G-d shall be fulfilled. Revelation 17:17 Let us begin by looking at a few words....

THE WORD JESUS - is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua or "Jehovah is salvation". Matthew 1:21

THE WORD MAN - the Greek word may be equally translated, "of a man" or "of man" or simply "humanity".

THE WORD ANTI - Look up in Strong's Concordance word 473 in the Greek dictionary. You will find the the word anti is often used to denote substitution -

473. anti, an-tee'; a prim. particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to):--for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, *substitution*, correspondence, etc.

THE WORD ANTICHRIST - can be correctly and simply interpreted then, as any man (or woman) who substitutes themselves for the Christ.

THE WORD CHRIST - isn't so much a proper name or word as it is a title. "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos, meaning "anointed." Its meaning is the same as the Hebrew word Mashiach or Messiah (John 1:41). They both mean "anointed" or "anointed one." Matthew 16:16

THE WORD DENOMINATIONS - is very interesting let's look at it - denom / i / nations. Simply move the "m" and the "n" and you have the word "demon" that uses self/I to divide the nations.

Who then is the MAN of Sin?

2 Thess 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called G-d, or that is worshipped; so that he as G-d sitteth in the temple of G-d, showing himself that he is G-d.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, G-d shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, G-d shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Rev. 22:18-19. Whatyou think is very dangerous - you had better know!

In Matthew 24: 4-5, we read a caution: " And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."

In Matthew 12: 30, we read: "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."

First of all, please notice how Revelation 13:18 reads: "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Another place in scripture where we clearly see this number 666 is in Ezra Chapter 2 verse 13 - "The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six." It is interesting that Adonikam is a personal name meaning, “the Lord has arisen.” Adonikam was the family head of 666 persons who returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel from Babylon about 537 B.C. (The children of the risen lord numbered 666.)
The Mark of the Beast is mentioned eight times in the book of Revelation:

1 & 2.)Revelation 13:16-18 - And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a MARK in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the MARK, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
3.) Revelation 14:9 - And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his MARK in his forehead, or in his hand,

4.) Revelation 14:11 - And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the MARK of his name.

5.) Revelation 15:2 - And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his MARK, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

6.) Revelation 16:2 - And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the MARK of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

7.) Revelation 19:20 - And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the MARK of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

8.) Revelation 20:4 - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his MARK upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Where else can we read in scripture about this mark? Romans 16:17 says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

In 1 John Chapter 2: 18 - 27 we read: "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ (the annointing)? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing (the Christ - John 10:24) which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing (Christ) teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him."

In 1 John Chapter 4: 3 we read: "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of G-d: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

In John 10: 24- 31 we read: "Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him."

In Matthew Chapter 23 Jesus really warns those who would "teach" G-d's word in verse 8 he specifically warns his disciples: " But be not ye called Rabbi (teacher): for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren."

In John 14:6 we read: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In John 16:13 we read: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." Who is teaching you?
There are many warnings about the knowing the real "truth".
In 2 Timothy Chapter 3:7-8, we read: "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith." In Chapter 4 verse 4 we read: "And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." In Titus Chapter 1 verse 14 we read: "Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men, that turn from the truth."

In Ecclesiastes 3:18, we read: "I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that G-d might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts." It is interesting that 3 into 18 is 666.

In 1 Corinthians Chapter 3: 16 we learn: "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of G-d dwelleth in you?"

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 we read: "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called G-d, or that is worshipped; so that he as G-d sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause G-d shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Who is sitting in your temple besides the Lord?

The word Babylon simply means "confusion" - have you ever listened to all of the confusion that is currently being preached as the "word of God:? I adjure you to read and understand 1 Corinthians 14:33 "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." Who is teaching you?

In Matthew Chapter 7: 21 -27, we read: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew (John 10:27) you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock (Jesus): And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand (denominations): And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

In Revelation Chapter 18: 1-4 we read: "And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

In Isaiah 66: 4 we read: "I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not."

In Ezekiel 14: 7 - 11, we read: "For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself: And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their G-d, saith the Lord G-D."

In Matthew 23:37, we read: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

In John Chapter 8: 28 - 32, we read: "Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

In Matthew 10: 24 -27, we read: "The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops."

In Romans 8:1 we read, "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Do you really want to continue to think with your carnal mind or do you want to really know?

In James Chapter 3 we read: My brethren, be not many masters (teachers), knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. In Matthew Chapter 10:28 we read: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Lies and confusion are obviously not the truth/life!

There are 66 books in my Bible and when man (the number 6 is the number of man because in my Bible, God created man on the sixth day.) uses his carnal mind to interpret God's word - he divides the body of Christ and is the beast whose number is 666. The word "devil" when reversed is simply "lived" and the word "evil" when reversed is clearly "live". Man has a body, soul and spirit and when he controls these three he is also 666.

In the Bible, 666 is also the number of gold talents that King Solomon collected in a single year (please see 1 Kings 10:14 and 2 Chronicles 9:13). Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." In Matthew 10:8 we read that Jesus said: "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." Jesus' entire life was set apart to freely serve G-d. Jesus' final three prayers were, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done" (Luke 22:42).

In Mark Chapter 14: 18 - 19, we read: "And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?"

If you are now finally beginning to wonder and ask: " Is it I"? The author of this website would like to give you the good news. Jesus Christ gave us 66 words in 6 sentences to get rid of the beast/self. It is the Lord's Prayer and when you say it you never mention "I, me or my"; just "our, Father and us". There is no excuse for sin but there is always forgiveness - if you ask and repent.

Ask the Lord to speak to you personally - that is what He originally made us for - to walk and talk with Him. Read 1 Samuel Chapter 3 before you go back to sleep. If you want the Lord to really know you - you must hear his voice. Jesus said "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." in Matthew 11:15, Matthew 13:9, Mark 4:9, Mark 4:23, Mark 7:16, and throughout his entire ministry. In Mark 12:29, we read: "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:" In John 6:45 we read: "It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me." In John 8:47, we read: " He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." Ask Him to open your ears!
